Oil Spill Response Limited is the world’s largest provider of oil spill response and preparedness services with offices in the UK, Asia Pacific and Middle East. Our subsidiary PT Oil Spill Response Indonesia seeks qualified individuals to apply for the following positions:
SPILL RESPONSE SPECIALIST (MARINE ENGINEERS/DECK OFFICERS)
Requirements:
• Marine Certificate of Competency
• At least 4 years sailing preferably on oil/ chemical tankers and relevant experience work ashore
• Good mechanical skills able to carry out planned maintenance and trouble shooting’ on equipment like pumps, hydraulic power packs and shipboard machineries
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of responders on our spill response catamarans and in-chartered vessels
• Develop appropriate response strategies and deploy incident action plans on the field
• Provide support to the team on marine matters during planning and exercises
SPILL RESPONSE SPECIALIST (MECHANICAL ENGINEERS)
Requirements:
• Minimum degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Good knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical equipment and systems
• 1 - 2 years working experience in the Oil, Petrochemical or Chemical industry
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of specialist oil spill response equipment and ensuring minimum equipment downtime
• Conduct efficiency studies on equipment storage and deployment to minimise bottlenecks and shorten lead times
• Act as an Operations / Planning I Logistics Chief in art Incident Command System structure during an emergency response or crisis
These positions are based in Indonesia and involve regional traveling, sometimes at short notice,. Successful candidates wilt also receive the appropriate training and be included into ths24/7 standby duty rosters thereafter.
