Description
Our Facilities recruitment practice has been engaged to identify a seasoned offshore construction professional for an international operator with multi £billion revenues and a reputation for technical innovation and excellence. The business is currently in the process of carrying out a large scale decommissioning project for which extensive work is underway for preparing several facilities for removal. Several of the larger platforms require the adoption of particularly complex methods of removal and as such extensive preparation is needed.
The key responsibility of this role will be to support the contractors in performing efficient construction and well abandonment activities on site and coordinating this work in line with agreed methods.
A strong knowledge of construction methods for large scale platforms is essential with significant experience gained offshore North Sea. You must be capable of adjusting plans for workforce and taking command of and monitoring the overall performance of a number of offshore technical personnel against agreed indicators. Industry leading knowledge is needed in order to step into a demanding role where safety is paramount.
As a suitable professional you will have gained a minimum of 12 years post education field experience with an oil and gas operator in relevant construction roles having proven construction supervision expereince. A relevant degree in engineering would also be desirable. You must have had a proven background holding a position of responsibility on major offshore construction projects alongside a solid understanding of PtW and NS HSE requirements.
