Job Summary:

The Petrophysics Data Manager is responsible for delivering data management services and maintaining Geolog projects and corporate databases. Additionally, Data Manager is responsible for log data loading, data migration, data manipulation, data cleanup, naming standards, archiving and supporting Petrophysical community in the petroleum engineering disciplines

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
* Provide data loading and other manipulation in Geolog and between applications and Disciplines
* Knowledge and understanding of Core data, Test data, Log formats and ability to trouble shoot and support
* Define and manage projects for improvements in DM and workflows.
* Work in close co-operation with other data managers and Subsurface application portfolio teams or other global teams.
* Data Mining from GIS applications
* Maintain, correct and update well header information in the Geolog database.
* Tracking and distribution of log data to partners.
* Liaising with logging companies to ensure timeliness and accuracy of final deliverables.
* Provide Petrophysical data management services and help customers in their daily work.
* Source and load Petrophysical data from government repositories
* Follow and maintain the naming and storing procedures of log data in the Geolog database
* Recognize log quality issues and provide solutions (e.g., value ranges, units verification, family assignments, etc).
* Transfer data, understanding proper storage requirements of data in OpenWorks
* Assist asset teams to achieve their data management targets.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
* Basic knowledge of OpenWorks, Petrel, OpenSpirit
* Experience working with petrotechnical databases
* Knowledge and experience in PC, Linux/Unix environment (Commands, File manipulation, Remote connection)
* Teamwork & Collaboration - Ability to work with Earth Scientists, Engineers, and Management.
* Experience in an information or data management role. Working knowledge of Geolog is essential
* Knowledge and understanding of Core data, Test data, Log formats and ability to trouble shoot
* Knowledge and well grounded in the PP discipline
* Knowledge of Exploration and Development processes, workflows
