EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
The successful applicant will have a solid background working in a Flowlines and Riser engineer capacity and be fully conversant in the following areas:
* Able to lead the resolution of specific technical issues in the riser and flowlines discipline area, reporting to the Greater Plutonio riser and flowline Technical Authority.
* Able to work autonomously for long periods of time delivering work to a high technical standard. As part of working with the Subsea Engineering team and the wider asset there will be an expectation for good team working skills and a willingness to share expertise.
* Assist in the coaching Angolan nationals to provide the future staff for the subsea team.
* Participate in routine inspection and maintenance activities for the flowlines and riser tower and help maintain technical documentation files and databases.
* Qualified to degree level in engineering
* Experience in structural analysis of subsea risers or flowline systems. The candidate should have strong analytical skills and interest structural engineering
A demonstrable and proven track record of working on offshore projects and managing marine aspects of offshore construction and subsea operations is essential as is a high level of interpersonal skills, technical and organizational ability. Our client expects you to have a strong personal commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental performance with strong interpersonal and communicative skills. Educated to first degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, candidates with a track record of delivery and strong networking skills are at a real advantage, you will need to be able to demonstrate a strong inclination and attitude in developing staff.
REQUIREMENTS OF ROLE
The role is for an experienced Subsea Pipeline Flowline Engineer to join an established team of engineers to work on our clients West Africa assets which currently lie across four blocks - two as Operator and two as Partner Operated. The success of this operation has been unrivalled in recent years and as such has seen production potential grown to over 2 million barrels/day. The business Unit managing these interest is located principally in the UK with further project teams based in West Africa.
