A major oil company based in Jakarta, is looking for an immediate employment of:
HEAD OF ENGINEERING
(Expatriate)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• University degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and at least 15 (fifteen) years engineering experience in the offshore oil and gas industry, of which a minimum of 5 (five) years shall have been in a multi-disciplinary supervisory capacity.
• Functional knowledge of applicable design codes and standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multicultural environment.
• Fluency in the English language,
This position supervises an in-house multi-disciplinary team of engineers and draftsmen required for effective project development, for both new build facilities and brownfield modifications of existing facilities. Technical disciplines covered include topsides facilities, structural and pipelines. There is an ongoing interaction with Drilling and Production Departments and other service groups within the company to ensure that technical standards are maintained, operator requirements met and that the engineering deliverables are in compliance with Company s QHSE Policies and standards. The incumbent also coordinates the supervision of external engineering contractors. The work centre is located in Jakarta but there will also be visits to external contractors offices, fabrication sites and offshore production facilities as required to facilitate effective communication and maintain technical standards.
