The exploration portfolio is large and quickly expanding. Shell is seeking an experienced Production Geologist with the capacity, drive and innovation to deliver technical and business solutions, which optimise our exploration and production business.

Responsibilities:
As a key member of our Technical Development group, your responsibility will lie in the provision of geological support for both operated and non-operated assets. You will positively and constructively represent SDA at our Operator’s subsurface work group or technical committee level meetings. You will successfully carry out independent sub-surface modeling and thoroughly assess the Operator’s evaluations and proposals. You will continuously support the preparation of business plans. You will be required to work closely with the asset teams as well as other technical staff and specialist staff within the Shell group.
Requirements:
You will be at ease working independently whilst drawing on resources and contacts both within SDA and the wider Shell Group. Analytical and energetic, you will possess exceptional hands-on modeling skills and have had prior exposure to QC/QA of geological modeling as well as integrated development planning. You will be adept in review and challenge of Operator plans, including risk identification. A key competency underpinning success in this role will be skillful stakeholder engagement; in particular you will exude confidence in all networking occasions with joint venture partners as well as efficiently connecting in a virtual, global environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications are required and solid technical experience in the upstream oil & gas field will be highly regarded. Prior experience dealing with non-operated alliances would be considered advantageous.

Shell is seeking an experienced Exploration Geoscientist with the capacity, drive and innovation to deliver technical and business solutions, which optimise our exploration and production business.
Responsibilities:
You will provide subsurface geoscience evaluation expertise to Shell’s expanding Australian exploration ventures. You will conduct exploration evaluations on a regional to prospect scale using 2D and 3D seismic data integrated with well data to develop robust geological models. Key tasks will include regional basin analysis, evaluation and proposal of exploration and appraisal drill targets and review of new business opportunities.
With a higher degree in geology, geophysics or a closely related subject, you will possess significant exploration experience, and offer specialist skills in one of the following key disciplines:
* seismic interpretation
* basin to prospect scale geological evaluation
* sequence and seismic stratigraphic interpretation
